Policies & Payment

Payments

Payments are expected at the time of service or can be made ahead of time, when scheduling online, or when updating your health forms before each session.

We accept cash, check, Credit/Debit Cards and electronic transfers like VENMO and ZELLE.

Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) can also be used both online ahead of time, and in our office at the time of check-out with your card.

Cancelation Policy

Please understand your time commitment begins at the moment you reserve your session. If you know you cannot make an appointment in advance, we will work to fill the appointment slot with someone who can.

Someday, you might benefit from an unexpected opening.

If you are symptomatic for COVID-19 please notify your therapist as soon as possible to reschedule — you will not be charged if you are sick. If in doubt, call and discuss options with your therapist. At other times, emergencies arise that cannot be helped, for example, if your babysitter is sick. In these instances, call your therapist and discuss the situation. You will not be charged in these cases. As a general rule, missed or canceled appointments that are not due to medical emergencies without twenty-four (24) hour notice will be charged in full for the missed session.

Equity

Equity in all forms is important to us. We go beyond the minimum Implicit Bias training that’s part of Maryland’s licensing requirements to learn, study, and show up fully for, and with, marginalized communities. We see Massage Therapy as an integral part of healthcare and want to make it accessible to all. We are committed to being thoughtful and long-term activists and how this looks in our lives and our practice will evolve. We recognize that Massage Therapy is often seen as an extra, or a treat for special occasions, or is available only to those who look a certain way, love a certain way, or can afford it. One way Equity is practiced is in our pricing. Wise & Well Member discounts are part of our standard pricing. We never turn people away based on their ability to pay. If you’d like to work with us and cost is a barrier, whether on a short term or long term basis, please reach out.

Covid

The ongoing presence of COVID-19 and other viruses underscore our attention and vigilance to infection control. This is especially important for those of us who are, or work with immunocompromised or critically-ill humans. Part of our infection control measures include the screening and masking protocols outlined by our host, the Wise & Well Center for Healthy Living at Keswick.
